Hulu + CNN
Two major events, two impactful films.
This was one of those projects that was so successful the client brought it back – taking it from a singular event and film in NYC to a national stage with installations in three cities and a film covering the historic day.

New York City
There are 145 statues of historically significant men in NYC, and only 5 of women. When we came across this startling statistic, we knew we’d found the perfect opportunity for Hulu to make a powerful statement about gender representation and to promote the new season of “The Handmaid’s Tale.”
Starting with the idea of demonstrating equality, we chose to make statues out of a mirrored material - because equal representation should reflect us all.
“Shape History” is a short film we created showcasing the statement the statues made and the impact they had on the people that day.

San Francisco + Boston + Atlanta
The NYC event was so successful that Hulu decided to bring back the installation in three more cities on Women’s Equality Day, honoring the 99th anniversary of the 19th Amendment which solidified women’s right to vote in the United States.
“Reflecting on Equality” is a short film we created covering the day.
In addition to the installations and films, we created further content to support the message including interactive articles, Facebook posts, Instagram stories, and Twitter posts which were promoted through both Hulu’s and CNN’s social channels.
